ABSTRACT Objective: Circular Economy is expected to promote economic growth by creating new businesses and job opportunities, saving materials’ cost, dampening price volatility, improving security of supply while at the same time reducing environmental pressures and impacts (European Commision, 2015). It has been estimated that eco-design, waste prevention and reuse can bring net savings for EU businesses of up to EUR 600 billion, while at the same time reduce greenhouse gas emissions. To see these benefits in manufacturing sector and how it can be adapted and implemented at different levels, this research carried out the drivers and barriers analysis that effect the circular economy transition in manufacturing industry. Method: A systematic literature review on circular economy drivers and barriers will result in required drivers and barriers to analyse the desired outcome. Result: The resulted drivers and barriers are analysed at different levels and groups gave a comprehensive picture of circular economy drivers and barriers that are influencing manufacturing sector. Limitation: Research is only carried out by considering academic Journal papers and Articles but there may be possibility of bias and under research done. And also, source for all papers is SCOPUS database which might not contain all the papers that are associated with circular economy. Other limitation may be the perceived scope of the research and keywords used to search the database.
