In this thesis, carried out at STMicroelectronics, partner of Politecnico of Milan and engaged with it in the development of more and more performing MEMS devices, the phenomenon of the Vibration Rectification Error is studied. This effect, often neglected, causes a reduction in the performance of some categories of accelerometers. In the present thesis work, therefore, this phenomenon has been analyzed through the development of theoretical models and an accurate experimental characterization. Following this activity, possible solutions were found in order to reduce the effect of the error.

Abstract
In this thesis, carried out at STMicroelectronics, partner of Politecnico of Milan and engaged with it in the development of more and more performing MEMS devices, the phenomenon of the Vibration Rectification Error is studied. This effect, often neglected, causes a reduction in the performance of some categories of accelerometers. In the present thesis work, therefore, this phenomenon has been analyzed through the development of theoretical models and an accurate experimental characterization. Following this activity, possible solutions were found in order to reduce the effect of the error.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
