Endless Ruins

It seems that the archaeological site of Olympieion is eloquent by many factors but also has various problems that make it one of the least visited archaeological sites in the center of Athens. This leads us to the conclusion that something should be changed in this site so that it can stand equally and create a chain with the rest of the archaeological sites in the surrounding area of Acropolis. The first step would be the redistribution of its infrastructure and the liberation of it’s archeological character. The present state of the site's facilities does not create a friendly climate for the visitor. The entrance of the archaeological site is in the opposite direction from the point where the world is headed, which many can confuse and prevent them from visiting him. The South part still remains open to the public, although it is an extremely interesting area of archaeological and natural beauty. Another important problem that has been observed is that there is no proper use of the monuments, nor is the correct information of the visitor. The small marble inscriptions of the name of each monument are not enough for the average visitor to understand the origin, the value and other characteristics of the monuments. The beautiful but randomly vegetated many times hide the monuments and mislead the visitor who in the end has not managed to see any of them.

Il sito archeologico di Olympieion sembra eloquente per molti fattori, ma ha anche vari problemi che lo rendono uno dei siti archeologici meno visitati nel centro di Atene. Questo ci porta alla conclusione che qualcosa dovrebbe essere cambiato in questo sito in modo che possa reggere allo stesso modo e creare una catena con il resto dei siti archeologici nell'area circostante dell'Acropoli. Il primo passo sarebbe la ridistribuzione della sua infrastruttura e la liberazione del suo carattere archeologico. Lo stato attuale delle strutture del sito non crea un clima amichevole per il visitatore. L'entrata del sito archeologico è nella direzione opposta rispetto al punto in cui è diretto il mondo, che molti possono confondere e impedire loro di visitarlo. La parte sud rimane aperta al pubblico, sebbene sia un'area estremamente interessante di bellezza archeologica e naturale. Un altro problema importante che è stato osservato è che non esiste un uso corretto dei monumenti, né l'informazione corretta del visitatore. Le piccole iscrizioni in marmo del nome di ciascun monumento non sono sufficienti per il visitatore medio a capire l'origine, il valore e le altre caratteristiche dei monumenti. Le belle ma casualmente vegetate molte volte nascondono i monumenti e ingannano il visitatore che alla fine non è riuscito a vederne nessuno.
