Green gang city. Progettazione di spazi aggregativi e educativi in periferie italiane degradate

Marghera lives a very complicated situation because of the duality between city and port realities. Our challenge is redefining what happens to the border of these areas. The place is a filter between the residential life and the industrial one. This lot of land is an abandoned and degraded unfilled gap and shows the negative aspect of suburb. The project wants to revitalise and regenerate the city, being able to discover beauty and opportunities the suburb can offer. The matter is to repair and activate this unfilled gap without filling it with buildings. The solution is the identification of green elements in different levels and ways. This means valuing habits in public and safe places protected by the architecture of the project. The best way to reunite and educate people is join different generation and make users sharing open spaces. The respect of environment and sustainability are the most important purpose. A facility composed by district heating using cogeneration reduces the impact on the environment. The solution of a recycled technology with preassembled blocks allows a fast site. The symbol is a green lung. This means people deserve to live in a safe and innovative place, an healthier and more valuable reality they can call home. The lot of land is protected by a hill covered by trees which are a great acoustic wall from the industrial part of the city. Green Gang City is completely open to the residential part, promoting connection ad access. Volumes reach low levels and they blend in plants. Buildings are composed by public parts, at the ground floor, and by private parts, at the first and second floors. Green roofs are a key feature of the plan in order to create a strong connection between buildings and nature. Simple shapes are repeated in the area and they joined together with a green pergola. This area can be repeated creating a cluster. The square and the houses continue the project realized by G124 in a green and innovative dimension.

Marghera è una realtà difficile perché vive due aspetti: la città e il Porto. Ancora più insidioso è stato capire cosa succede al limite di queste due facce. L’area di intervento è stata scelta come vero e proprio filtro tra la vita residenziale e quella industriale. Il lotto si presenta come vuoto urbano, completamente abbandonato, degradato, in una condizione che mostra perfettamente la periferia nel suo significato negativo. Il progetto vuole rigenerare la città, permettendole di riscoprire la vera bellezza che la periferia può offrire. L’obiettivo è risanare, rendere fruibile e riattivare un vuoto senza trasformarlo in agglomerato urbano. La soluzione è l’individuazione di elementi verdi, su diversi livelli, che valorizzano la quotidianità in spazi pubblici sicuri e liberi protetti dall’architettura a corte che caratterizza il progetto. L’unione di più generazioni e la condivisione di spazi aperti e chiusi porta aggregazione e educazione. Lo sviluppo dell’intervento inoltre è sempre attento al rispetto dell’ambiente, all’impatto e alla sostenibilità grazie ad un impianto di teleriscaldamento con cogenerazione e alla progettazione di pacchetti tecnologici riciclabili e veloci da assemblare. L’intervento vuole essere un polmone verde per permettere di respirare una realtà diversa, nuova e sicura che valorizzi le potenzialità del luogo e degli utenti. Una collina ricca di alberi protegge il lotto dalle strade ad alto scorrimento e si pone come barriera acustica rispetto al fronte industriale. Allo stesso tempo Green Gang City si apre completamente alla città, favorendo connessione e fruibilità. I volumi, di pochi piani e integrati nel verde, sono edifici pubblici permeabili ai piani terra e residenziali ai piani superiori. Le coperture sono verdi e la planimetria favorisce il completo dialogo tra natura e costruito. L’area verde è composta da semplici forme, scelte per ripetersi e connettersi tramite pergole con rampicanti. Infatti, questa realtà è studiata per essere un cluster espandibile nella zona filtro che si interpone tra Marghera e il Porto. L’analisi e la progettazione si spingono ad approfondire la piazza e la residenza che si sviluppa seguendo diverse esigenze. Il lotto è una dimensione nuova, verde che comunica con l’intervento realizzato dal G124 e la logica del fitorimedio.
