Baihuatan cultural center in Chengdu

The project of thesis is located in a mega city of China, Chengdu, a city with famous Sichuan culture, it is both a traditional and modern new city. The design will focus on the cultural, functional and representative characteristics of public spaces inside the Baihuatan Park. The park has a strong ecological and cultural atmosphere on the nearby urban core. It can be considered as a treasure in the city by being one of the few places in the city, being given to the people and having a strong impact on ecology. The design mission is trying to revitalize the park by giving back to it the site used for housing. So how to connect parks with the site, is the main crucial problem that be focused on and dealt to find the solutions.

Il progetto di tesi si trova in una mega città della Cina, Chengdu, una città con la famosa cultura del Sichuan, è sia una nuova città tradizionale che moderna. Il design si concentrerà sulle caratteristiche culturali, funzionali e rappresentative degli spazi pubblici all'interno del Parco Baihuatan. Il parco ha una forte atmosfera ecologica e culturale nel vicino nucleo urbano. Può essere considerato un tesoro in città essendo uno dei pochi luoghi della città, dato alla gente e con un forte impatto sull'ecologia. La missione di progettazione sta tentando di rivitalizzare il parco restituendogli il sito utilizzato per l'alloggio. Quindi, come connettere i parchi al sito, è il problema cruciale principale su cui concentrarsi e trovare soluzioni.
