Bombyx. Sistema automotive per l'equilibrio dei naturali ritmi psico-fisiologici dell'uomo

From its birth until today, the car was designed to keep the drivers alert, awake and lucid on its own steering wheel. The comfort of the passenger compartment has been studied starting from this necessity, giving life to seats that are reclining and welcoming but certainly not suitable for a real rest. However, the future has a new paradigm in store for the automotive world: driverless electric driving. The relationship between man and his vehicle is therefore destined to change, also because of the sharing diffusion in substitution of the current private cars. From the home, the domestic environment par excellence, its intrinsic concept of comfort is slowly evolving towards new frontiers. Inside a driverless vehicle the man, relieved from the role of driver, will in fact have the opportunity to carry out other, new activities, such as allowing himself time to relax, rest and fall asleep during the time available for the trip. The introduction of the very essence of domestic space inside a vehicle until now destined to transport will allow the original function to be maintained, but opening the doors to an evolution of the spaces, made more human, welcoming and reassuring. After decades spent focusing on efficiency and productivity, we are finally taking back the well-being and our most natural needs, both physiological and psychological, in conjunction with a renewed focus on the ecosystem in which we live, at whose rhythms we are deeply connected.

Dalla sua nascita sino ad oggi, l’auto è stata concepita per mantenere attenti, vigili e lucidi i guidatori al suo volante. Il comfort dell’abitacolo è stato studiato a partire da questa necessità, dando vita a sedute sì reclinabili ed accoglienti ma non di certo adatte ad un vero e proprio riposo. Il futuro ha però in serbo un nuovo paradigma per il mondo dell’automobile: la guida elettrica driverless. Il rapporto tra l’uomo e il proprio veicolo è quindi destinato a cambiare, anche a fronte della diffusione dello sharing in sostituzione delle attuali auto private. A partire dalla casa, l’ambiente domestico per eccellenza, il suo intrinseco concetto di comfort si sta pian piano evolvendo verso nuove frontiere. All’interno di un veicolo driverless l’uomo, sollevato dal ruolo di guidatore, avrà di fatto la possibilità di svolgere altre, nuove attività, come concedersi del tempo per rilassarsi, riposare e addormentarsi durante il tempo a sua disposizione per il viaggio. L’introduzione dell’essenza stessa di spazio domestico all’interno di un veicolo destinato sinora al trasporto permetterà di mantenere la funzione originaria, aprendo però le porte ad un’evoluzione degli spazi, resi più umani, accoglienti e rassicuranti. Dopo decenni passati a puntare il tutto per tutto sull’efficienza e la produttività, ci stiamo finalmente riappropriando del ben-essere e dei nostri bisogni più naturali, sia fisiologici che psicologici, in concomitanza ad una rinnovata attenzione verso l’ecosistema in cui viviamo, ai cui ritmi siamo profondamente legati.
