Un pensamiento alegre que se pinta. Un museo per il fileteado nell'ex-desembarcadero di Buenos Aires

Fileteado is a traditional painting technique of Buenos Aires, developed in the mid-800 following the great wave of immigration in Argentina. Over the years this art has spread so much that it has come to characterize the urban image of Buenos Aires, uniquely defining the face of the city. In 2015, UNESCO declared Fileteado to be an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which established the importance of its preservation, as a manifestation of the identity of a community and expression of a know-how handed down for generations. In this context the proposal of a Museum for Fileteado is inserted, with the desire to establish a place that narrates this phenomenon, contributing to its knowledge, diffusion, and safeguard. The aim is to make this art more comprehendible because, although strongly diffused in the city, it is often not understood in its totality of artistic, cultural and identity phenomenon. The museum therefore aims to make the visitor discover the world of Filetear, tell its story, explain its contents and implementation codes, in order to transmit the intrinsic cultural value to Fileteado, which goes far beyond the first aesthetic impact. The installation is not here, therefore, intended only as a mere exhibition of works, but intends to represent the expression of knowledge, which does not simply generate objects, but represents people, traditions and techniques. The project presents an alternative narrative structure to pure collection museums, involving the visitor in the story and inviting him to experience moments of emotional and scenographic impact alternating to a more in-depth understanding process. In this sense, the Museum for Fileteado intends to bring the visitor to have an act of reflection, stimulating him, once the phenomenon has been better explored and understood, to discover it in the city and in the workshops of the artisans themselves, where it is born and is still alive . The museum finds its logical collocation in Buenos Aires, inside the complex of the Ex Hotel de los Inmigrantes, integrating itself inside a larger museum complex, formed by the Center of Contemporary Art and the Immigration Museum. The choice to include it in this place full of history embedded in the origins of Fileteado, art developed by immigrants and whose history is deeply linked to them. The overall museum system is strengthened with the creation of a new cultural center, destined to host activities and artistic and entertainment events, reaffirming the museum as a place for cultural exchange.

Il Fileteado è una tecnica pittorica tradizionale di Buenos Aires, sviluppatasi a metà dell'800 a seguito della grande ondata d'immigrazione in Argentina. Nel corso degli anni quest'arte si è diffusa tanto da giungere a caratterizzare l'immagine urbana di Buenos Aires, definendo in maniera unica il volto della città. Nel 2015, Il Fileteado è stato dichiarato dall'UNESCO Patrimonio Culturale Immateriale dell'Umanità, che ha sancito l'importanza della sua preservazione, in quanto manifestazione dell'identità di una comunità ed espressione di un saper-fare tramandato da generazioni. In questo contesto si inserisce la proposta di un Museo per il Fileteado, con la volontà di istituire un luogo che racconti questo fenomeno, contribuendo alla sua conoscenza, diffusione, e salvaguardia. L'obiettivo è quello di fare comprendere meglio quest'arte perché, seppur fortemente diffusa nella città, spesso non viene capita nella sua totalità di fenomeno artistico, culturale ed identitario. Il museo si propone quindi di fare scoprire al visitatore il mondo del Filetear, raccontarne la storia, spiegarne i contenuti e i codici attuativi, in modo da trasmettere il valore culturale intrinseco al Fileteado, che va ben oltre il primo impatto estetico. L'allestimento non è qui, quindi, inteso soltanto come una mera esposizione di opere, ma intende rappresentare l'espressione di conoscenza, che non genera semplicemente oggetti, ma rappresenta persone, tradizioni e tecniche. Il progetto presenta una struttura narrativa alternativa ai musei di pura collezione, coinvolgendo il visitatore nel racconto ed invitandolo a sperimentare momenti di impatto emozionale e scenografico alternati a un processo di comprensione più approfondito. In questo senso il Museo per il Fileteado intende portare il visitatore a compiere un atto di riflessione, stimolandolo, una volta esplorato e capito meglio il fenomeno, ad andare a scoprirlo nella città e nelle botteghe degli artigiani stessi, laddove nasce ed è ancora ben vivo. Il museo trova la propria logica collocazione a Buenos Aires, all'interno del complesso dell'Ex Hotel de los Inmigrantes, integrandosi all'interno di un più ampio complesso museale, formato dal Centro di Arte Contemporanea e dal Museo dell'Immigrazione. La scelta di inserirlo in questo luogo carico di storia affonda nelle origini stesse del Fileteado, arte sviluppata dagli immigrati e la cui storia è loro profondamente legata. Il sistema museale complessivo viene potenziato con la creazione di un nuovo centro culturale, destinato ad ospitare attività ed eventi artistici e d’intrattenimento, riaffermando il museo come luogo per lo scambio culturale.
