The ultimate goal to this dissertation is to apply a method assessing landslide hazard in a GIS environment to a study area in northern Italy and to check its accuracy. To achieve this goal, first and foremost, 5 parameters which are considered as the core factors, according to scientific literature. These five core factors are Elevation, Drainage, Lineament, NDVI, and Slope. The Lecco landslide hazard map is produced considering a weight for each factor, assigned according to literature. According to the results, there are four hazard zone in Lecco area which are Low hazard (4.21%), Medium hazard (15.50%), High Hazard(40.13%), and Very high hazard (40.15%).
