This thesis describes an hypothesis for the re-use of the NATO base named West Star. This base is located in Affi (VR). Firstly the historical, cultural and geographical contests in which the bunker operated have been studied. Secondly, several case-studies concerning the re-use of cold war bunkers have been analysed and a proposal for its re-use, based on the creation of a museum and an hostel, is proposed.
In questa tesi si propone un’ipotesi di riuso del bunker antiatomico West Star, situato nel comune di Affi (VR). È stato studiato dapprima il contesto storico, culturale e geografico in cui si inserisce il sito. Successivamente sono stati analizzati alcuni casi di riutilizzo di bunker della guerra fredda ed infine è stata proposta una strategia per il riuso del sito, basata sulla realizzazione di un percorso museale e un ostello.
