With the increasing demand for more energy efficient buildings, the European policies aiming to achieve a sustainable and competitive low-carbon economy by 2020. However, often there is a significant difference between predicted energy performance of buildings and actual measured energy use once buildings are operational. The energy performance gap suggests various causes for the mismatch between prediction and measurements. These causes can be grouped in three main categories: causes that pertain to the design stage, causes rooted in the construction stage and the operational stage. This paper is aiming to assess the detailed energy on the expected and actual energy performance of a residential building, including sensitivity analysis and energy calibration. The case building is in Rodano, one of the first nearly zero energy buildings in Italy.

Abstract
The case building is in Rodano, one of the first nearly zero energy buildings in Italy.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
