This project analyses the resonance phenomenon in real cases of high voltage systems. Terna provided documentation of two different cases where some problems thought to be related to the resonance phenomenon were detected. First, the thesis describes the resonance phenomenon and which may be the effect on high voltage systems so as to set out the most basic principles to evaluate real cases. With the help of this documentation these two cases are going to be analysed to detect which is the phenomenon causing the problems described in the documentation provided by Terna. Once the two different cases are analysed theoretically and the probable phenomenon which is taking place is set out, several simulations are going to be performed so as to confirm the hypothesis. Two different softwares are going to be used to perform these simulations: Matlab/Simulink and Digsilent Power Factory. After understanding and proving what is exactly happening in the high voltage overhead systems several solutions will be proposed so as to mitigate or disappear the problems related to the resonance frequency in this type of lines.

Abstract
After understanding and proving what is exactly happening in the high voltage overhead systems several solutions will be proposed so as to mitigate or disappear the problems related to the resonance frequency in this type of lines.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
