This study took place during the clinical evaluation of a new CT scanner by GE Healthcare in Centre Cardiologique du Nord, Saint-Denis. The goal of the study was to identify clinical benefits and downsides of using low kVp for cardiovascular studies with the CT prototype. Quantitative and qualitative indicators were defined and measured throughout the clinical evaluation, such as image quality, radiation dose, contrast media dose, diagnostic value, SNR. Several strategies were implemented locally with the medical team to implement, optimize and evaluate new protocols using low kVp for all the cardiovascular applications. Total number of patients scanned during the trials is 3000.
