Aree archeologiche e progetto di architettura. Moenia Tharros. Leggere i segni del passato tra le alture del Sinis

The thesis project Moenia Tharros has as its object the entrance to the archaeological area of ​​Tharros and the insertion of a new library of finds that allows the collection of archaeological artefacts now disseminated in various parts of the Italian territory. The project is inserted as an answer to the incomplete and often unclear “historical choice” with which the elements that make up the area are presented, as well as a clarification regarding the urban form of this Phoenician-Punic city. The project develops on two levels of intervention. The first concerns a landscape scale that finds fulfillment in the introduction of signs in the territory that allow a greater understanding of the routes and a more secure accessibility. The second one concerns a more targeted intervention at the entrance to the area and in particular the issue of archaeological finds and excavations. The main objective is to introduce constructed elements that are not only able to allow easier reading of the territory and the various stratifications that have led it to the current image, but at the same time that can stimulate curiosity and activities. of scholars and tourists for the archaeological site, ensuring services that can satisfy both needs.

Il progetto di tesi Moenia Tharros ha come oggetto l’ingresso all’area archeologica di Tharros e l’inserimento di una nuova biblioteca di reperti che permetta la raccolta dei manufatti archeologici ora disseminati in varie parti del territorio italiano. Il progetto si inserisce come risposta all’incompleta e spesso poco chiara “scelta storica” con cui vengono presentati gli elementi che compongono l’area, oltre che come chiarificazione riguardo alla forma urbis di questa città fenicio-punica. Il progetto si sviluppa su due livelli d’intervento. Il primo riguarda una scala paesaggistica che trova compimento nell’introduzione di segni nel territorio che permettano una maggiore comprensione dei percorsi e una più sicura accessibilità. Il secondo riguarda invece un intervento più mirato all’ingresso dell’area e in particolare alla tematica del reperto e dello scavo archeologico. L’obiettivo principale è quello di introdurre elementi costruiti che non solo siano in grado di permettere una più facile lettura del territorio e delle varie stratificazioni che l’hanno portato all’immagine odierna, ma allo stesso tempo che possano incentivare la curiosità e le attività di studiosi e turisti per il sito archeologico, garantendo servizi che possano soddisfare entrambe le necessità.
