Lean 4.0 in Italy : a quantitative analysis on the digitalization of lean practices and their impact on the operational performances

The purpose of this research is to quantitatively study the link between Industry 4.0 and Lean Manufacturing by means of multivariate analyses. It was investigating the digitalization level and the leanness of Italian manufacturing companies through the definition of the tools and technologies that support the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the practices and techniques that refer to Lean Production.

L'obiettivo di questa ricerca è lo studio quantitativo del legame tra Industria 4.0 e Lean Manufacturing attraverso diverse analisi statistiche. Il livello di digitalizzazione e di lean delle aziende manifatturiere italiane è stato analizzato attraverso la definizione delle tecnologie che supportano la quarta rivoluzione industriale e le pratiche che si riferiscono alla produzione lean.
