Urban resilience has become a key element in helping cities to face human and natural shocks and stresses. Resilient cities have developed the capacity to deal with unexpected events and have the ability of react, absorb and recover from them without compromise the continuity of their operations. Urban areas are a focus point nowadays and will also be in the future. Despite cities recognize the potentiality of resilience, sometimes are forced to give up this path because of barriers of different nature, from the huge investments to the low integration and collaboration among departments. This project aims at developing a company able to help cities in the adoption of a resilience strategy and provide the right services to overcome those barriers. After an introduction on the concept of resilience and urban resilience, a business plan has been developed in order to present the company from a marketing, financial and operational viewpoint. An analysis of the market has been performed to select the cities that will be the target of the offer propose and to define the right strategic and marketing levers to adopt. The performances of the company have been evaluated in order to demonstrate its profitability in the market and consider the possibility to extend the business also to the B2B market.
La resilienza urbana è diventata un elemento chiave per aiutare le città ad affrontare shock e stress umani e naturali. Le città resilienti hanno sviluppato la capacità di affrontare eventi imprevisti e hanno la capacità di reagire, assorbire e recuperare da essi senza compromettere la continuità delle loro operazioni. Le aree urbane sono un punto di riferimento al giorno d'oggi e lo saranno anche in futuro. Nonostante le città riconoscano le potenzialità della resilienza, a volte sono costrette a rinunciare a questo percorso a causa di ostacoli di diversa natura, dai cospicui investimenti alla bassa integrazione e collaborazione tra i dipartimenti. Questo progetto mira a sviluppare una società in grado di aiutare le città nell'adozione di una strategia di resilienza e fornire i giusti servizi per superare tali ostacoli. Dopo un'introduzione sul concetto di resilienza e resilienza urbana, è stato sviluppato un business plan per presentare l'azienda da un punto di vista commerciale, finanziario e operativo. E’ stata condotta un analisi di mercato per selezionare le città che saranno il target dell’offerta proposta e per definire le giuste leve strategiche e di marketing da adottare. Le prestazioni dell'azienda sono state valutate al fine di dimostrare la sua redditività nel mercato e considerare la possibilità di estendere il business anche al mercato B2B.
