Internet of Things in the automotive industry

The thesis studies the impact of the Internet of Things in the automotive world. To achieve this, the analysis has started from the history of the automobile industry. Secondly, all future market trends have been analyzed. Consequently, the phenomenon of the Internet of Things has been introduced, analyzed in the various sectors affected, up to an actual analysis of connected cars. Finally, an analysis has also been conducted about the impact of the IoT on IT and data security.

La tesi studia l’impatto dell’Internet of Things nel mondo dell’automobile. Per arrivare a questo obiettivo, l’analisi è partita dalla storia dell’industria dell’automobile. In secondo luogo tutti i trend futuri del mercato sono stati analizzati. Conseguentemente, è stato introdotto il fenomeno dell’Internet of Things, analizzato nei vari settori impattati, fino a giungere all’analisi vera e propria delle macchine connesse. Infine, è stata condotta anche un’analisi relativa all’impatto dell’IoT sulla sicurezza informatica e dei dati.
