Abstract
In a world that is increasingly moving towards the dematerialization of money, in favor of faster digital payment methods, there is a particular category of people who risk paradoxically to be left behind: the teenagers. The current financial services don't offer solutions exclusively dedicated to them, but only proposals that turn out, in the end, to be the declination of existing products, that don't take into account all the features that differentiate a teenager from an adult, talking about their approach to the financial world. If we add this aspect to an increasing need for financial awareness of the teenagers, in order to be able to build their future safely, it's obvious that the way young people approach the world of money for the first time is now destined to change. In such a scenario, how do teenagers receive, manage and use money from their parents? And how can they be helped into intelligent management of their savings through a financial education that goes beyond the concept of the classic piggy bank? From these assumptions, the idea of creating a digital financial service dedicated exclusively to young people and families came to life, which had as a first step qualitative research in order to investigate the habits and needs of these actors in their daily relationship with money. The analysis of the insights allowed to outline the different types of financial actors involved, and to develop the concept from which teenPay was born: a digital wallet for teenagers. TeenPay is a digital service dedicated to families, which consists of a mobile application connected to a virtual prepaid card, to facilitate the exchange of money between children and parents digitally through the smartphone, allowing young people to buy online and in physical stores that accept contactless payments. TeenPay's goal is to push teenagers into an intelligent management of their savings, day by day, through the conscious use of their money by investing in their desires. The wallet is dedicated to both children and parents, with a specific experience for each user.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
