Design and implementation of a 3-axis camera stabilizer

The cinematographic industry in Argentina is a sector that experienced great growth in the last years. An essential part of this business is camera stabilization, which is dominated by Steadicam. The present work concentrates on the investigation of an active stabilization system that aims to cover the gap for small (lower than 2kg) and medium (between 2kg and 6kg) cameras.

L'industria cinematografica in Argentina è un settore che ha registrato una grande crescita negli ultimi anni. Una parte essenziale di questo business è la stabilizzazione della camera, che è dominata dalla Steadicam. Il presente lavoro si concentra sullo sviluppo di un sistema di stabilizzazione attivo con l’obbiettivo di coprire il divario per fotocamere piccole (inferiori a 2kg) e medie (tra 2kg e 6kg).
