The ternary Zn-Ni-Co alloy coatings were electrodeposited on steel, and the corrosion resistance, influence of alloying elements [Co2+]/[Ni2+] and structural and mechanical properties were investigated. The study of Zn-Ni-Co ternary alloy has been introduced, in-order to replace Zn-Ni and Zn-Co binary alloy coatings. The Zn-Ni-Co ternary alloy coating shown that the mechanical and surface characteristics of the coating layer are better than those of Zn-Ni and Zn-Co binary alloy coating in terms of displaying a homogeneous diffusion. The structural and mechanical studies of Zn-Ni-Co ternary alloy, Zn-Ni and Zn-Co binary alloy were also investigated. Zn-Ni-Co ternary alloy coating may be a used in surface application as an alternative to Zn-Ni (2.5% of Ni) and Zn-Co (0.5% of Co) binary alloy coating types preferred to use in a variety of fields particularly including automotive spare parts. The presence of Ni and Co was favourable for their corrosion protection. The [Co2+]/[Ni2+] ion ratio had a significant influence on corrosion behavior of ternary alloy coatings and this influence was more pronounced with ternary alloys deposited from chloride bath.
I rivestimenti in lega ternaria Zn-Ni-Co sono stati elettrodepositati su acciaio, e sono stati studiati la resistenza alla corrosione, l'influenza degli elementi di lega [Co2 +] / [Ni2 +] e le proprietà strutturali e meccaniche. È stato introdotto lo studio della lega ternaria Zn-Ni-Co, al fine di sostituire i rivestimenti in lega binaria Zn-Ni e Zn-Co. Il rivestimento in lega ternaria Zn-Ni-Co ha mostrato che le caratteristiche meccaniche e di superficie dello strato di rivestimento sono migliori di quelle del rivestimento in lega binaria Zn-Ni e Zn-Co in termini di visualizzazione di una diffusione omogenea. Sono stati inoltre studiati gli studi strutturali e meccanici della lega ternaria Zn-Ni-Co, della lega binaria Zn-Ni e Zn-Co. Il rivestimento in lega tibiale Zn-Ni-Co può essere utilizzato in applicazioni superficiali come alternativa ai tipi di rivestimento in lega binaria Zn-Ni (2,5% di Ni) e Zn-Co (0,5% di Co) preferiti per l'uso in una varietà di campi in particolare compresi i pezzi di ricambio automobilistici. La presenza di Ni e Co era favorevole alla loro protezione dalla corrosione. Il rapporto degli ioni [Co2 +] / [Ni2 +] ha avuto un'influenza significativa sul comportamento alla corrosione dei rivestimenti in lega ternaria e questa influenza è stata più pronunciata con le leghe ternarie depositate dal bagno di cloruro.
