This thesis work deals with the mechanical behavior of cellular structures manufactured by 3D printing techniques. Mechanical characterizations as tensile, compression and three point bending tests are performed. Applications as sandwich structures are studied and new cellular topologies are designed and optimized.
In questo lavoro di tesi viene trattato principalmente il comportamento meccanico delle strutture cellulari, realizzate tramite manifattura additiva. Si sono effettuate svariate caratterizzazioni meccaniche, come test di tensione, compressione e flessione in tre punti. Si sono studiate possibili applicazioni come le strutture sandwich, e nuove topologie cellulari sono state progettate ed ottimizzate.
