Innesti

In all these years I have worked a lot of interesting themes, a different scale: I brought in random, interiors. Homes, restaurants, shops. Small objects. Thus the thesis became the perfect opportunity to make a point about everything. I decided to focus on one particular project: INNESTI. An idea born two years ago and culminated in a self-production of objects presented at the 2016 furniture fair. It is a project that I love above all with regard to all the design themes that are most dear to me. Themes that I worked on a lot during my university and that I have studied in depth during these years of work. Innesti is a sort of contemporary reinterpretation of a furnishing element typical of classic home environments: the consòle. This is a way of thinking that is a way of thinking and recovering. The result is an open, constantly evolving project. An object without its own form that comes to life from the use made of it. The grafts are elements of different nature and matter that from time to time are a "scene". With this thesis I will try to push the idea even further, bringing INNESTI outside the home. Look at the precious lesson of Ugo La Pietra for which "living is being everywhere at home": INNESTI URBANI.

In tutti questi anni ho lavorato a molti temi interessanti, a scale diverse: ho progettato case, interni. Abitazioni, ristoranti, negozi. Piccoli oggetti. Così la tesi si è trasformata nell’occasione perfetta per fare un punto su tutto. Ho deciso di concentrare l’attenzione su un progetto in particolare: INNESTI. Un’idea nata due anni fa e culminata in un’autoproduzione di oggetti presentati al salone del mobile del 2016. E’ un progetto che amo particolarmente perché si porta dentro tutti i temi della progettazione che mi sono più cari. Temi a cui ho lavorato molto durante la mia formazione universitaria e che ho approfondito e sviscerato in questi anni di lavoro. Innesti è una sorta di rivisitazione in chiave contemporanea di un elemento di arredo tipico degli ambienti domestici classici: la consòle. Un tentativo di spogliare questo oggetto dalla sua forma classica di tavolo addossato alle pareti e di recuperare e rendere centrali i gesti e i rituali che gli ruotano intorno. Ne è nato un progetto aperto, in continua evoluzione. Un oggetto privo di forma propria che prende vita dall’uso che se ne fa. Gli innesti sono elementi di diversa natura e materia che di volta in volta creano una “scena”. Con questa tesi proverò a spingere l’idea ancora oltre, portando INNESTI fuori dalle mura domestiche. Guardan- do alla preziosa lezione di Ugo La Pietra per cui “abitare è essere ovunque a casa propria”, tenterò di pensare a nuovi innesti sotto forma di “attrezzature urbane per la collettività”: gli INNESTI URBANI.
