In summary, we can define the project as a conservative reactivation of an abandoned industrial building of the end of the 1800s. The idea is to develop new university spaces and business incubators, linking up with the existing network that operates in the area. In particular, the intent is to deal with three different scales, each of which moves different specific themes: the urban one, with the aim to unite and integrate my intervention with the context and to overcome the physical limits present; the architectural one; in this case a conservative approach was chosen, consistent with the structural and qualitative characteristics of the current state; an intervention program, which considering the potential and disadvantages of the territory, guarantees the project a role within the already existing university network, which functions as part of an efficient system.

In sintesi, possiamo definire il progetto come una riattivazione conservativa di un edificio industriale dismesso di fine ‘800. L’idea è quella di sviluppare nuovi spazi universitari e incubatori di impresa, riallacciandosi alla rete già esistente e funzionante sul territorio. In particolare, l’intento è quello di occuparsi di tre scale differenti, ognuna delle quali muove tematiche specifiche diverse: quella urbana, con l’obiettivo di unire ed integrare il mio intervento con il contesto e di superare i limiti fisici presenti; quella architettonica; in questo caso è stato scelto un approccio di tipo conservativo coerentemente con le caratteristiche strutturali e qualitative dello stato di fatto; un programma di intervento, che considerando potenzialità e svantaggi del territorio, garantisca al progetto un ruolo all’interno della rete universitaria già presente, che funzioni come parte di un sistema efficiente.
