The thesis turns to the analysis of the historic, unconstrained building, in Via Giambellino 115, in Milan, subject of the JAM 115, a certified environmental redevelopment project, developed by the LCA study, in collaboration with the Politecnico of Milan. The thesis is introduced by surveys on the building, at present, and on the project in such a way as to arrive at the primary objective of the thesis work, focused on the application of the GBC Historic Building sustainability protocol. The result of this work is the achievement of a preliminary sustainability certification for the case study, the assignment of input to the design team, for the future official certification, the identification of potential and criticality of the GBC HB protocol itself and the verification of suitability of the protocol to the project JAM 115.
