This work is a reflection on the relationship between man and nature, the impact of the civilized man on the natural environment andThe projectempt to address major environmental problems we face today; global warming, deforestation, pollution and waste through responsible architectural design. Project site is situated in a context with a rich and diverse ecosystem, where nature manifests itself in its most pristine and pure forms. In a farmstead on the rural parts of central Latvia, an Organic Tea Farm makes use of the organic herbs grown in its forest and meadows, and offers an ideal setting to withdraw and front the essentials of life. The project comprises the design of silent meditation cabins, a guest house and the reuse of the existing 200 years old barn with eco-friendly and cost-effective building techniques. The work elaborates and provokes discourses on relevant topics, arising from the study of the regional and local context. Topics are simultaneously studied on a broader architectural discourse and case studies which help shape and support the outcome of the design choices.
