In fulfilling the requests of the municipality to create a public space including the path and several new residences, we tried to develop the most solid relationships possible between all the elements involved: the new buildings, the path, the public space and the green. The circular court is the center of the project and functions as a filter between the man-made world of the city and the natural world of the forest and the park, which is why it also becomes almost a forest and the trees find a large presence within it. Both towards the court and the surrounding nature, residential buildings face with cantilever structures and balconies to get as close as possible to the greenery. By itself, this project does not intend to completely resolve the situation but rather to provide a starting point for the reunification of the neighbourhood and does so through a public space where residents can finally identify with.

Abstract
the great post-WWII urban development policy was only partially efficiently controlled in Rozzano. Valleambrosia neighbouhood is in fact the result of a set of road and river infrastructures that surround it and pass it from side to side, fragmenting it. Moreover different types of buildings were build over time and they do not interact and do not create any kind of relationship. In addition to lack of identity, Valleambrosia lacks cohesion. For this reason the municipality has proposed in the PGT the idea of a cycle and pedestrian path that crosses the neighborhood going to connect the future park and the woods near the Lambro Meridionale to the Naviglio Pavese. The route passes through different areas subject to urban planning operations. The project area of this thesis is the first and is adjacent to the park. By itself, this project does not intend to completely resolve the situation but rather to provide a starting point for the reunification of the neighbourhood and does so through a public space where residents can finally identify with.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
