Waru-Waru : the new pueblo. Floods attenuation system for latin american cities

Waru Waru: the new pueblo is the result of a process driven by the FEW Program - Food/Energy/Waste + City. With the main goal of mainstreaming sustainability in the planning and in the design of the new cities, this work would be the development of a design process that it is mainly driven by the analysis and the understanding of the invisible forces that shape cities and society. This method allows the designer to take in consideration all the aspects that are affecting a certain site and generating certain behaviours, giving new tools and knowledge for a complete and integrate project in order to build a more sustainable future. Through the analysis of different data sources and the development of data models and graphs it could be possible to reach a thorough investigation of all the forces shaping the place taken in analysis and direct the design phase in a unique strong programme.

Waru Waru: il nuovo pueblo è il risultato di un processo di analisi progettuale guidato dal programma FEW: Food/Energy/Waste + City ( Cibo/Energia/Rifiuti + Città). Con l’obiettivo principale di perseguire Sostenibilità nella progettazione e nello sviluppo delle nuove città, questo lavoro si presenta come lo sviluppo di un processo progettuale che è principalmente direzionato ed influenzato dalla fase di analisi e di conoscenza delle forze invisibili che influenzano l’area presa in esame, modellando la forma fisica della città e la sua forma sociale. Questo metodo consente al progettista di prendere in considerazione tutti gli aspetti che influenzano un certo luogo e che generano certi comportamenti, fornendo nuovi strumenti e nuove conoscenze per poter sviluppare un progetto completo in ogni suo aspetto, favorendo un futuro sostenibile alla città. Attraverso l’analisi di diverse risorse e lo sviluppo dei grafici e modelli di studio dei dati acquisiti è possibile acquisire una approfondita indagine di tutte le forze in gioco e che influenzano e quindi dirigono la fase progettuale verso un deciso e forte programma.
