In everyday life, the eyes undergo accommodation effort to keep in focus objects in the near sight area. Although the crystalline lens is known to participate as most changing its shape, still doubtful are the changes in the eye’s biometry and aberrations due to the accommodation process. Attempts at assessing such variations are nowadays performed through clinical devices implemented with custom-made systems. Ten subjects were enrolled in the study. Eye’s biometry and aberrations were measured on the left eye by using an optical biometer (IOL Master 700) and an aberrometer (WASCA analyzer), respectively. Over the entire accommodative range, LT and AQD increased (p < 0.001) and decreased, respectively, while AL remained constant. The custom-made implementation tool coupled with a Badal system represents a suitable solution for clinical devices to induce the accommodation process. However, such implementation might not fit in between the chosen device and the non-recorded eye due to its encumbrance.

Abstract
However, such implementation might not fit in between the chosen device and the non-recorded eye due to its encumbrance.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
