Today, fast technological progress has triggered profound changes in society, in individuals lifestyle and also in their value system. Companies (especially small ones, like SMEs), instead of seeking new solutions in line with cultural changes, have continued to invest resources in the development of incremental innovations. The consequences are mainly that consumers are confused, and the competition among industries have increased exponentially. As emerges from this work, the Design-Driven Innovation, which uses Design tools to investigate new meanings of things, is the only type of innovation which is still able to bring companies a competitive advantage. Therefore, we identified numerous case studies concerning companies belonging to different sectors, which succeed or failed while facing change. This research served to identify some patterns which constitute factors that prevent or facilitate the success of innovation activities. In order to practice the acquired knowledge, a real case study was taken into consideration: Cartoplast Bertesi, an Italian SME operating in the market of Filing solutions and specialized in the production of suspension files. The Modenese company, following the changes imposed by digitalization phenomena in the office sector, currently witnesses a decrease in her sales volumes and it struggles in identifying new market opportunities. After the conduction of field research concerning the characteristics of the company and its market, it has been decided to adopt the Strategic Design typical approach, in order to explore new directions and save the corporate legacy. Therefore, some scenarios about the concept of the Future of Filing have been generated and each of these was presented to the company. During the meeting both the innovativeness, the feasibility, and the feasibility of the ideas have been judged and finally, one of these was selected. The identified Scenario (which hypnotizes Filing as the tool for ordering complexity) was then implemented in a project proposal that was tested both with possible users and with company employees.
Design innovation e nuovi significati. Scenari futuri per l'archiviazione

Abstract
The identified Scenario (which hypnotizes Filing as the tool for ordering complexity) was then implemented in a project proposal that was tested both with possible users and with company employees.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
