Abstract
In recent years, the pace of innovation has gained exponentially. The service sector has become more crucial than ever. Because of that, Service design in particular has gathered a lot of attention in the last decade. Being able to use various methodologies to solve complex problems considering various stakeholders and systems is the power of service design. Especially, in the context of an automotive business management company such as Porsche consulting, merging business management and service design has shown a great potential. This has given an extra edge to consulting. New approaches towards conceptualising ideas with the help of user-centred design, co-design workshops, journey mappings, quick prototyping, user testing, etc. were practiced. When it comes to concept innovation in the service sector, transferring ideas to stakeholders ranging from project team members to managers, clients and users of services is important. Tangible scenarios are very crucial in order to test and develop services. Videos are a good medium to overcome such challenges. Videos are easy to consume and understand if done right. Videos are time critical as they help understand complex situations in minutes. Testing ideas with videos is an efficient way which has the potential to save costs of taking wrong ideas to market. Apart from the video itself, the video making process has been studied well. There was a clear overlap between video making processes and service design methods. In this thesis, this opportunity has been turned into a hybrid of video making and service design for innovation. This leads to a methodology/framework which can help innovators to generate tangible scenarios and prototypes of new concepts using videos. Different tools for making videos will also be discussed ranging from beginner to professional skill level.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
