The aim of this thesis is to analyze the DC stray current phenomenon at the interface between Italian 3 kV DC system and Swiss 15 kV AC system. The problem is still present, but some solutions have been proposed recently. A Matlab – Simulink model of stray currents propagation has been built and it has been validated through the measurements made by the National Swiss Railway company. Through Matlab – Simulink model the effectiveness of the solution proposed has been evaluated and some tips have been provided.

Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to analyze the DC stray current phenomenon at the interface between Italian 3 kV DC system and Swiss 15 kV AC system. The problem is still present, but some solutions have been proposed recently. A Matlab – Simulink model of stray currents propagation has been built and it has been validated through the measurements made by the National Swiss Railway company. Through Matlab – Simulink model the effectiveness of the solution proposed has been evaluated and some tips have been provided.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
