The business model construct represents one of the most utilized lens of analysis in the Business & Management research area today. Being a relatively recent topic positioned at the intersection among different disciplines, it has experienced a fragmented and non-cumulative academic contribution so far. Given its generalizability and flexibility, the diffusion has been recorded in the practitioner community too. Through a co-citation document-based approach, the study illustrates the main theoretical roots for the activity of business model innovation, as well as its subsequent use in the analysis of other management branches.

Abstract
The business model construct represents one of the most utilized lens of analysis in the Business & Management research area today. Being a relatively recent topic positioned at the intersection among different disciplines, it has experienced a fragmented and non-cumulative academic contribution so far. Given its generalizability and flexibility, the diffusion has been recorded in the practitioner community too. Through a co-citation document-based approach, the study illustrates the main theoretical roots for the activity of business model innovation, as well as its subsequent use in the analysis of other management branches.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
