The redevelopment project of Leonardo da Vinci Student House in Milan lies in the broader framework of redevelopment plans of the iconic places of Politecnico Campus, which is taking place concurrently with the drafting of this thesis. This can and must be an opportunity for the relaunch of the House, which has the chance to emancipate itself from the role of simple student dorm to become a space that gives students the opportunity to train not only academically, but also socially and culturally in an exciting environment. Therefore, the House as a new place of identity in which its history and its past can meet with the future of Politecnico di Milano and its students. The thesis work was divided into three phases: a first phase of extensive archival research, aimed at collecting material that would give more information about the history of the building and all the vicissitudes that took place around it. The research was carried out mainly at the Citadel of the Archives of Milan, the Historical Archive and the Technical Building Area of Politecnico. A second phase of inspections and analysis of the current state of the building, and a third planning phase, articulated for the different Functional Areas. This work aims to present itself as a moment of synthesis between the requests of end users and those of the client (i.e. Politecnico di Milano). The guidelines for the drafting of the project were therefore mainly Law 338/2000 Ministerial Decree of 28 November 2016, n. 936 (minimum dimensional and qualitative standards and guidelines relating to technical and economic parameters concerning the construction of housing and residences for university students), the requests of the client itself and, not least, the requests of the end users: the students.

Abstract
936 (minimum dimensional and qualitative standards and guidelines relating to technical and economic parameters concerning the construction of housing and residences for university students), the requests of the client itself and, not least, the requests of the end users: the students.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
