Sviluppo di un applicativo web tramite un sistema distribuito e analisi sulle performance database NoSQL

The aim of the thesis is to illustrate the development and analysis of a web application that extracts news from different sources, categorizes them using machine learning algorithms and makes them accessible to end users via a dedicated web portal. The project allowed me to come into contact with the world of Big Data and distributed systems and find out how they work. My contribution to the project has focused on the development of the web application and on the analyzes carried out on the system. The analyzes were performed on the system's memory and performance of Hbase as the volume of data increases.

L'obiettivo della tesi è quello di illustrare lo sviluppo e l'analisi di un applicativo web che estrae le notizie da diverse fonti, le categorizza tramite algoritmi di machine learning e le rende fruibili agli utenti fi nali tramite un portale web dedicato. Il progetto mi ha permesso di venire a contatto con il mondo dei Big Data e dei sistemi distribuiti e di scoprire il loro funzionamento. Il mio contributo nel progetto si è focalizzato sullo sviluppo dell'applicativo web e sulle analisi compiute sul sistema. Le analisi sono state compiute sulla memoria del sistema e sulle performance di Hbase all'aumentare del volume di dati.
