The natural museum

The design concept of this project starts from the articulation of a unanimous masterplan for the whole valley of river Var, located in the outskirts of Nice, France. Carrying the name “Living Corridors” the masterplan is based on the idea of a green unification within the valley by proposing a linear park, a museum, public spaces and residential housing that ultimately, either physically or visually, will provide environmental links while at the same time give same importance to the anthropological impact of experiences and designed spaces. This is achieved by proposing a new Museum dedicated to nature, due to the character and richness of the context, which metaphorically and literally, becomes one of these green corridors by transforming its character into an inhabited bridge that hosts all the program and functions of a new natural museum. ‘A New Museum Experience’ One is meant to experience something unique and new for body and mind as the aim of this natural museum. It’s design, orchestrated by rooms of negative and positive spaces undulating natural environments of green spaces together with ‘hard’ surfaces, “weave together” to create an underlying continuous space serving as a mediator between nature and built environment. The museum works around and in-between fully planted gardens of courtyards so then, a dynamic landscape of vegetal and mineral surfaces allows the visitors to explore and express their bodies in various ways, from relaxing to exercising, from the soothing to the challenging.

Il concetto di design di questo progetto parte dall'articolazione di un piano generale unanime per l'intera valle del fiume Var, situata nella periferia di Nizza, in Francia. Portando il nome di "Corridoi viventi", il piano generale si basa sull'idea di un'unificazione verde all'interno della valle, proponendo un parco lineare, un museo, spazi pubblici e abitazioni residenziali che alla fine, fisicamente o visivamente, forniranno collegamenti ambientali mentre al allo stesso tempo danno la stessa importanza all'impatto antropologico delle esperienze e degli spazi progettati. Ciò si ottiene proponendo un nuovo Museo dedicato alla natura, dovuto al carattere e alla ricchezza del contesto, che metaforicamente e letteralmente, diventa uno di questi corridoi verdi trasformando il suo carattere in un ponte abitato che ospita tutto il programma e le funzioni di un nuovo museo naturale. "Una nuova esperienza museale" Uno ha lo scopo di sperimentare qualcosa di unico e nuovo per il corpo e la mente come obiettivo di questo museo naturale. È un progetto, orchestrato da stanze di spazi negativi e positivi che ondulano ambienti naturali di spazi verdi insieme a superfici "dure", "si intrecciano" per creare uno spazio continuo sottostante che funge da mediatore tra natura e ambiente costruito. Il museo lavora intorno e tra giardini di cortili completamente piantumati, quindi un paesaggio dinamico di superfici vegetali e minerali consente ai visitatori di esplorare ed esprimere i loro corpi in vari modi, dal relax all'esercizio fisico, dal rilassante alla stimolante.
