Throughout this project it was analyzed the activity of running done specifically in an amateur level. The objective was to design garments that could enhance the performance mainly for women around 20 to 30 years, in order to prevent injuries. It was used an ergonomics method to approach the development, which contained the study of the needs, both physical and psychological. The main material proposed for the garments is Merino wool, used in an innovative way, by including compression and other specific technologies to create a technical textile. The project is an adaptation of the Woolmark Challenge 2019, but with a different perspective to achieve a complete fashion design project. It is divided in three main steps, the theoretical research, the in situ observation (ethnographic like study), and the development of the capsule collection. It was reached the design of 6 outfits that give support to the body, making compression in muscles and joints to avoid injuries, correcting the running technique and enhancing the performance of the runners. The Merino wool in place would be since production modified, to overpower the already existing synthetic textiles in the market, so that through technology discomfort and a long-time recovery could be avoided. Prototypes were done in order to analyze that the garments within the patternmaking and seams election would truly follow the shape of the body. A further testing with the final textiles could be done in future studies to deepen the development of the textile, so that the required ergonomic values could be achieved. It is suggested if continued the research, for kinematics and kinetics tests to be done with the final garments, to complete the ergonomics method.

Abstract
It is suggested if continued the research, for kinematics and kinetics tests to be done with the final garments, to complete the ergonomics method.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
