Mr. Marco in Xi'an. Hotel design in the historical area of Xian city

The following thesis of Laura Magistrale is a project of hotel design located in Xi’an city, Shaanxi, China. The topic of the project was definite basing on the research about the area which located in the center of Xi’an city, having more and more tourists every year but don’t have enough hotel in the area, especially those with features.  Today cities are developing at a high speed, even historical area requires more service buildings and facilities. To provide more quality service architecture yet also to fit into the historical environment is a challenge to today’s architect, particularly in China, as one of the four ancient civilizations, China has a long history and a lot of cities or area with ancient remains. This project is an attempt to find a possible answer to this question. Through the design process, the relationship with the connected ancient houses are key considerations, heritage the traditional construction for the wooden structured architecture was the secondary consideration along with the form of the traditional local houses.  The research results are giving by the author basing on data from public websites and author's observation.

La seguente tesi di Laura Magistrale è un progetto di design di hotel situato nella città di Xi'an, Shaanxi, Cina. L'argomento del progetto è stato definito basandosi sulla ricerca sulla zona che si trova nel centro della città di Xi'an, con sempre più turisti ogni anno ma non ha abbastanza hotel nell'area, specialmente quelli con caratteristiche. Oggi le città si stanno sviluppando ad alta velocità, anche le aree storiche richiedono più edifici e strutture di servizio. Fornire un'architettura di servizio di qualità superiore ma anche adattarsi all'ambiente storico è una sfida per l'architetto di oggi, in particolare in Cina, in quanto una delle quattro antiche civiltà, la Cina ha una lunga storia e molte città o aree con resti antichi. Questo progetto è un tentativo di trovare una possibile risposta a questa domanda. Attraverso il processo di progettazione, il rapporto con le antiche case collegate sono considerazioni chiave, l'eredità della costruzione tradizionale per l'architettura strutturata in legno è stata la considerazione secondaria insieme alla forma delle tradizionali case locali. I risultati della ricerca vengono forniti dall'autore basandosi sui dati di siti Web pubblici e sull'osservazione dell'autore.
