The thesis is a journey through the history of the Upper Brembana Valley, and more specifically of the branch that includes the Val Fondra. The aim is to give a new life to this once flourishing commercial street, converting it into a tourist route that follows the history and landscapes of the Valley. The intervention example takes into consideration the stretch of the ancient Via passing through the municipality of Bordogna, which touches the remains of the tower of the aforementioned town. In the project it was decided to revive the path through the construction of a pavement along the old section, with the use of the Lombard Verrucano, a characteristic stone of the Brembana Valley, and historically used for paving pedestrian paths. This new flooring will define two different "moments"; of passage, with a raw use of the material and of stasis, with the more worked use of the material. We also thought of signs that identify the points of historical interest along the Via del Ferro, characterized by the materiality of the iron that will be used for the construction of the latter.

Abstract
The thesis is a journey through the history of the Upper Brembana Valley, and more specifically of the branch that includes the Val Fondra. Starting from a historical research we wanted to bring to light the old riding path that once crossed the Val Fondra, and which was the only viable route starting from the XV century. until the construction of the driveway, still used today, in the IX century. which led to its abandonment. The aim is to give a new life to this once flourishing commercial street, converting it into a tourist route that follows the history and landscapes of the Valley. On this Ancient Way, there were also the Fortilizi / Towers of observation, which we can still find, sometimes converted into dwellings and others in conditions of abandonment; in this research we wanted to classify these old buildings which, in symbiosis with the Via del Ferro of the Val Fondra, could identify an interesting tourist network, sometimes converting them into observatories and others into information points. We also thought of signs that identify the points of historical interest along the Via del Ferro, characterized by the materiality of the iron that will be used for the construction of the latter.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
