Hani Volunteering Hub is a multiscale project that intends to become a starting point for the regeneration of the existing Chinese traditional Village - Suhong. Agriculture and volunteering work integrate in a harmonius way towards this aim, creating a new connection for the area that will be embraced by the unique lanscape of Hani Terraces. Hani Hub was inspired from the brief of the New Scene Creativity Design Competition 2019 in China, whose aim is to design touristic functions for the currently abandoned village of Suhong.The later is located on the bank of the world cultural heritage Red River Hani Terrace. After investigating the background in detail, the design starts from urban scale till detailed technical design serving the purpose to retrieve the lost identity of Suhong in a contemporary way. Instead of focusing on the individual elements only, the project explores as well the relationship between different items through the approach "cluster in a cluster". The building functions as a gate that unites the local residents and the visitors as a community. It respects the existing context and landscape ,and is composed by multiple small sized volumes as a result .
Hani Volunteering Hub è un progetto a larga scala che apre le porte a un processo di rigenerazione dell’esistente villaggio tradizionale cinese – Suhong, area al confine del patrimonio culturale mondiale Red River Hani Terrace. Hani Hub prende ispirazione dal brief del New Scene Creativity Design Competition 2019 in Cina, il cui l'obiettivo é quello di progettare una serie di attivitá turistiche nel villaggio di Suhong, attualmente abbandonato. Dopo un'indagine approfondita riguardante i principi guida del progetto, il design parte dalla scala urbana fino alla progettazione tecnica dettagliata, con l’obietivo di riportare l'identità ormai perduta di Suhong in chiave contemporanea. Invece di concentrarsi sui singoli elementi, il progetto approfondisce le relazioni delle diverse parti tramite un approccio "cluster in a cluster". L'edificio funziona come un’entrata che unisce i residenti locali e i visitatori in una comunità. Rispetta il contesto e il paesaggio esistenti ed è composto da più piccoli volumi.
