Research work carried out is essentially divided into 4 phases: - Bibliographic research aimed at collecting all data relating to this type of structural component, even in very different sectors such as oil extraction - Assembly and refinement of the GFRP bar testing system - Creation of a software for the post-processing of experimental results - Critical analysis of work carried out on the basis of experimental results obtained

Abstract
In recent years, the use of fibreglass bars (GFRP) has made it possible to increase corrosion resistance of reinforced concrete structures, increasing their durability and thus ensuring a longer service life. However, this technology is a novelty in the field of building materials and it is therefore necessary to carry out further investigations, particularly on its behaviour under cyclic loads. This research work will analyse the phenomenon of dynamic fatigue. There are few results in the literature regarding fatigue strength of GFRP bars that have however been reported in this paper. In this thesis, new tests under cyclic load are added, which have been carried out in the Laboratorio Prove Materiali of the Politecnico di Milano. Tensile tests will be carried out to obtain the experimental value of the bars ultimate resistance and elastic modulus, following this, tests under cyclic load until breakage are described. As there are no previous tests to start with, part of the tests performed were useful for perfecting trial setup. Research work involved the drafting of automatic calculation programs for managing and processing a considerable amount of data with which it was possible to create graphs (non-existent in the literature) that were reported. The results achieved are intended to contribute to the research on the behaviour of GFRP bars under cyclic load and to stimulate a further study, which requires further in-depth analysis. In addition, it will be demonstrated that fibreglass reinforcing bars in real applications are stressed with tensions considerably lower than those indicated by regulations on which the tests were based.
