The organization successes mostly depends on the customer satisfaction and loyalty these are the pillars of any organization’s success. The companies are trying to improve product and services to get the customer satisfaction, loyalty, decrease costs and to get more profit. In order to reach their goals the organization’s are using advanced methodologies like six sigma. Six sigma is used in various sectors like manufacturing, service, financial, health care, information technology and other sectors. In this paper we focus only on the manufacturing sector. This paper explains the methodologies of six sigma, determining the tools and techniques used during DMAIC phases, success factors of six sigma, KPI’s of six sigma and comparison of implementation of six sigma in manufacturing sector by considering 5 companies listed as follows • TATA MOTORS • FORD • GENERAL MOTORS • NAVISTAR • TOYOTA We would also determine the problems faced in the implementation of the six sigma and benefits occurred by the implementation of six sigma in those five organizations.
I successi dell'organizzazione dipendono principalmente dalla soddisfazione e dalla lealtà del cliente, questi sono i pilastri del successo di qualsiasi organizzazione. Le aziende stanno cercando di migliorare prodotti e servizi per ottenere la soddisfazione del cliente, la fedeltà, ridurre i costi e ottenere maggiori profitti. Per raggiungere i loro obiettivi, l'organizzazione sta usando metodologie avanzate come six sigma. Six sigma è utilizzato in vari settori come produzione, servizi, finanza, sanità, informatica e altri settori. In questo documento ci concentriamo solo sul settore manifatturiero. Questo documento spiega le metodologie di six sigma, determinando gli strumenti e le tecniche utilizzate durante le fasi DMAIC, i fattori di successo di six sigma, i KPI di six sigma e il confronto tra l'implementazione di six sigma nel settore manifatturiero considerando 5 società elencate come segue • MOTORI TATA • FORD • MOTORI GENERALI • NAVISTAR • TOYOTA Determineremmo anche i problemi incontrati nell'attuazione del six sigma e i benefici che si sarebbero verificati nell'implementazione del six sigma in quelle cinque organizzazioni.
