Over the last years, the financial and banking systems started to put a greater attention over new challenges which may go beyond the pure financial services. The risks and the uncertainty linked to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria led many banks and companies to support an appropriate management, striving to reshape their business models towards a more sustainable economic growth, aiming at increasing the financial actors’ awareness and transparency about the need of addressing environmental and social impacts as a priority. The thesis is written following a theoretical grounding of these new dynamics; empirical studies and researches delineate the correlation between financial performance and sustainable progress, encompassing the roadmap initiated by international legislators. Subsequently, investigative case studies on large-size banks, listed on the Italian SE, outline concrete examples and attain to the way international principles filter down banking realities.

Abstract
Subsequently, investigative case studies on large-size banks, listed on the Italian SE, outline concrete examples and attain to the way international principles filter down banking realities.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
