The study is a bibliometric review of the Digital Transformation of business. It makes use of a document- based co-citation analysis to quantitatively analyze the literature of interest. The main contributions are the identifications of the pillars upon which the Digital Transformation concept sinks its roots, and the proposal of a comprehensive definition of the phenomenon, grounded on the pillars emerged from the co-citation analysis.
La tesi è una analisi bibliometrica della letteratura sulla Trasformazione Digitale del business. Usa un'analisi di co-citazione fra documenti per analizzare quantitativamente la letteratura di interesse. I contributi principali dello studio sono l'identificazione delle fondamenta teoriche su cui si basa il concetto di Trasformazione Digitale e una proposta di definizione che comprenda le più importanti basi teoriche sull'argomento, emerse dall'analisi di co-citazione.
