The expansion gallery of GAM Ricci Oddi

The theme of this graduation design is the expansion of the new art museum. The design is divided into two parts. The first part is the study and research of the city. We began to collect information from the historical part and learn how the city has developed to this day. Guide and make a comparison and analysis of the urban texture of four different cities along the river basin. Finally, we focus on the city's ability and interpret it in different directions. We will find that the design place is located on the edge of the old city, but is located in the cultural area. The cultural atmosphere becomes the focus of design. In the design part, we learned the texture and type of the surrounding area of ​​the venue, and derived the general strategy to create a new place to attract the surrounding people. We learned different cases in the volume strategy and facade design. The old and new museums are connected through the underground, striving for more space for citizens, while giving the museum a new entrance. The lighting design around the old museum in the space design uses the same logic to give more possibilities to the interior. Through the first-down tour path, the audience feels different viewing methods, and the same new art museum chooses more The works of modern Italian artists also hope to have some connection with the old museums.
