After the Second World War, Milan was in a state of reconstruction. The economy grew, and social structure changed. Under the influence of modernist architecture, many new residential buildings were built. Today, after decades, these buildings are still very good, but some semi-public spaces have become obsolete and difficult to use due to various reasons such as management and economic problems. This thesis focuses on the discussion of regeneration for semi-public space of residential buildings in Post-war Milan. Through the investigation of the status of Milan's post-war buildings, we summarize some common problems and proposes methodology, which is to open the courtyard and enhance the functions.
Dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, Milano era in uno stato di ricostruzione. L'economia è cresciuta e la struttura sociale è cambiata. Sotto l'influenza dell'architettura modernista, furono costruiti molti nuovi edifici residenziali. Oggi, dopo decenni, questi edifici sono ancora molto buoni, ma alcuni spazi semi-pubblici sono diventati obsoleti e difficili da usare a causa di vari motivi come problemi di gestione ed economici. Questa tesi si concentra sulla discussione sulla rigenerazione dello spazio semi-pubblico degli edifici residenziali nel dopoguerra a Milano. Attraverso l'indagine sullo stato degli edifici postbellici di Milano, riassumiamo alcuni problemi comuni e proponiamo una metodologia, che è quella di aprire il cortile e migliorare le funzioni.
