Optimization of orders allocation in the logistic network : Heineken case

n this thesis project I went on to analyze the benefits of optimizing order allocation. starting from the customers managed in VMI and then extending it to all other customers. logistic benefits have been obtained but not only. Managing VMI orders from the factory, you have the opportunity to skip an actor in the supply chain, and the economic benefit is obvious: you can reduce the levels of stock, you don't have double transports anymore ( brewery-deposit, deposit-customer) but only a transport and therefore it is easier to carry out an economic evaluation, the advantage is more certain. Furthermore, this allows a better freshness of the product too. this project was therefore born of the direct management of ICHNUSA orders from the Assemini brewery to the Italian peninsula.

In questo progetto di tesi sono andato ad analizzare i benefici di una ottimizzazione dell allocazione degli ordini. partendo dai clienti gestiti in VMI ed estendolo poi anche a tutti gli altri clienti. si sono ottenuti benefici logistici ma non solo. Gestendo gli ordini VMI da fabbrica, si ha l’opportunità di saltare un attore della filiera, e saltando un attore il beneficio economico è evidente: non si hanno più un numero elevato di giorni di copertura a magazzino, non si hanno più doppi trasporti (fabbrica deposito, deposito cliente) ma solo un trasporto e quindi è più semplice eseguire una valutazione economico, il vantaggio è più certo. Inoltre questo permette sicuramente una migliore freshness del prodotto. è quindi nato questo progetto della gestione in diretta degli ordini di ICHNUSA dal birrificio di Assemini verso la penisola italiana.
