Abstract
In the course of its existence, man evolves, acquires more and more knowledge and stands out from other species. The activities that is going to get set every day and different life experiences, contribute to forming his person and his intelligence. Often, however, different vicissitudes and torments of social life, put a strain on his mind which, over the years, begins to lose its lucidity and slow down. Until a few years ago, this process was considered as the natural course of life, thinking that it was determined by the passing of the years and therefore by the aging of the body. However, scientific studies have shown that these cognitive aspects are sometimes deteriorated by an anomaly in the functioning of neuronal plaques and synapses, which are the primary cause of Alzheimer's development. At the beginning, they seem small and harmless forgetfulness, those things that happen to everyone, but unfortunately it is not so and those affected by this disease cannot heal with medicines and inevitably, await the complete loss of themselves. Hence the intent of wanting to think about the new dimensions of design, demonstrating, through a service / product system, the possibility of empathizing with diversity, humanizing technology to bring benefits to weaker subjects. The aim is to lead design towards a new type of user, through the creation of an inclusive solution that wants to try to improve their quality of life. The project, therefore, a system composed of a product, a mobile application and a web application, has the primary objective of supporting the patient, through music therapy, even in a domestic environment. The Wave plush will act as the output of the device worn by the patient and will allow the caregiver to understand, immediately, the emotional state of the patient. Wave plush will be considered as a sort of second caregiver helping, through music, to improve the quality of life of the elderly patient, and consequently also of those who care for him, both day and night. The goal is to regularize the life of this user, allowing him to sleep more quietly at night and perform musical activities during the day, interacting with the plush.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
