Wed-industry : un progetto per storie diverse che ci raccontano l'uguaglianza

The radical change in society has substantially changed, among other things, the concept of diversity. globalization that has reduced the intrinsic differences of cultures has also allowed us to highlight how the differences reside in the small but substantial characteristics that belong to each of us. It is possible to state that none of us is different because we all have a characteristic that unites us: being different from the people around us. Moreover, the ease with which we can interface today with those who are "other" than us and the continuous comparison allows us to change, creating new diversities every time. This thesis highlighted how the modification that embraces the new concept of diversity has substantially affected also what until recently was considered as the "temple" of tradition: the Marriage. The change has affected both the substance of the marriage, by changing, for example, the concept of mixed couples, and the form, with always different and innovative ceremonies for spaces used and for methods of development. For this reason, the thesis concerned the renovation of Villa Litta, with the aim of making it functional in providing all the services needed for weddings that are increasingly being sewn onto the couple that wants to celebrate them, making them each different from the other while maintaining the common denominator which is the union of two people. From this concept of an ever more "sartorial" marriage, in order to be able to fall perfectly on the personality of the individuals who are celebrating it, also comes the name of the activity: "NeedleWed". Like the needle of an expert tailor, it gives the possibility to every couple to create their own marriage, different from that of others in form, but equal in intent.

Il radicale cambiamento della società ha modificato sostanzialmente, tra le altre cose, anche il concetto di diversità. La globalizzazione che ha limato le differenze intrinseche delle culture ha anche permesso di evidenziare come le diversità risiedano nelle piccole ma sostanziali caratteristiche che appartengono ad ognuno di noi. E’ quindi possibile affermare che nessuno di noi è diverso in quanto tutti abbiamo una caratteristica che ci accomuna: l’essere diversi dalle persone che ci circondano. inoltre, la facilità con cui ci possiamo interfacciare oggi con chi è “altro” rispetto a noi e il continuo confronto ci permette di cambiare creando ogni volta diversità nuove. Questa tesi ha evidenziato come la modifica che abbraccia il nuovo concetto di diversità ha intaccato in maniera sostanziale anche ciò che fino a poco tempo fa era considerato come il “tempio” della tradizione: il Matrimonio. Il cambiamento ha interessato sia la sostanza del matrimonio, facendo cambiare, ad esempio, il concetto di coppia mista, sia la forma, con cerimonie sempre diverse e innovative per spazi utilizzati e per modalità di sviluppo. Per questo motivo, la tesi ha interessato la ristrutturazione di villa Litta, con l’obiettivo di renderla funzionale nel fornire tutti i servizi necessari per matrimoni che sempre più vengono cuciti addosso alla coppia che li vuole celebrare, rendendoli ognuno diverso dall’altro mantenendo il comune denominatore che è l’unione di due persone. Da questo concetto di un matrimonio sempre più “sartoriale”, per poter essere calato in maniera perfetta sulla personalità degli individui che lo stanno celebrando, deriva anche il nome dell’attività: NeedleWed. Come l’ago di un esperto sarto da la possibilità ad ogni coppia di creare il proprio matrimonio, diverso da quello degli altri nella forma, ma uguale negli intenti.
