This thesis proposes a redevelopment project for the Acropolis of Athens, the city's main tourist site. Currently, the state in which it is poured is disorganized, indeed presenting itself as an open-air construction site, available, in part, for tourists to visit. Some areas of the Acropolis are not, in fact, accessible, the materials recovered during archaeological excavations are accumulated on the edges of the paths, and the structure of the Old Museum now in disuse completely hides the traces of the remains of the Mycenaean, archaic and classical Acropolis which lie beneath it. Thus the founding intention of the project was born from the consideration of this context. The direct relationship with the ancient is constrained in the architectural composition with the proposal of a new order, maintaining close contact with the inestimable historical evidence that this archaeological area offers. The project then strips the Acropolis, providing a unique key to understand the space. A series of axes redefine the tourist flow, accompanying the visitor along the new surface that, articulated around and within the ruins, takes on the intent to make visible the signs of the past.

Abstract
A series of axes redefine the tourist flow, accompanying the visitor along the new surface that, articulated around and within the ruins, takes on the intent to make visible the signs of the past.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
