Autonomous Robots are an innovative technology deployed with the objective of alleviating the existing pressure on last mile delivery. In the study, the technology is studied under the logistic operations perspective in the context of Food Delivery industry. Operational and economic performance are studied though a simulation study highlighting the fundamental influential factors affecting the results and underlining the future required changes for a more widespread deployment of the technology.
Autonomous Robots sono una recente innovazione testata in contesti urbani, sviluppata allo scopo di alleviare parte della pressione esistente nella consegna al cliente finale. La tesi ha lo scopo di analizzare i parametri che influenzano le performance logistiche nell'industria Food Delivery attraverso simulazione evidenziando i cambiamenti necessari per garantire un maggior utilizzo di tale tecnologia.
