The theme of Innovation in residential typologies in high density contexts tackled in this work, was developed by conducting a study on residential typologies that have already partially developed in the big cities and that will be protagonists in the future in the complex scenario that characterizes the so-called megacities. The goal is to respond to the changing needs that man develops in high density contexts and to raise the quality standards of living that exist today, which too often are put in the background to favor economic interests. One of the aspects that will be kept in greater consideration is that of the time of use of the space. Specifically, we will analyze the context of Hong Kong, as one of the cities with the highest urban density levels in the world. The project lot is located in a neighborhood that hosts various economic and social realities and which is characterized by different building types. The project development will also be accompanied by constant monitoring regarding energy performance and sustainability, to obtain a project in line with energy standards and strategies related to climate change, which are more current than ever.

Il tema dell’Innovazione nelle tipologie residenziali nei contesti ad alta densità affrontato in questo elaborato, è stato sviluppato conducendo uno studio sulle tipologie residenziali che si sono in parte già sviluppate nelle grandi città e che saranno protagoniste in futuro nel complesso scenario che caratterizza le cosiddette megacities. L’obiettivo è quello di rispondere alle mutevoli necessità che l’uomo sviluppa in contesti ad alta densità e di alzare gli standard qualitativi del vivere ad oggi esistenti, che troppo spesso vengono messi in secondo piano per favorire interessi di natura economica. Uno degli aspetti che verranno tenuti in maggiore consideraizone è quello del tempo di utilizzo dello spazio. Nello specifico, si analizzerà il contesto di Hong Kong, in quanto una delle città con i livelli di densità urbana più alti al mondo. Il lotto di progetto è collocato in un quartiere che ospita diverse realtà economiche e sociali e che è caratterizzato da tipologie edilizie differenti. Lo sviluppo progettuale sarà inoltre affiancato da un costante controllo riguardante le prestazioni e la sostenibilità energetica, per ottenere un progetto in linea con gli standard energetici e le strategie legate al cambiamento climatico, più che mai attuali.
